Yesterday my dog was barking, and those of you who live around me know that he is really loud. He's a basset hound so he's got this big obnoxious bark. Anyway, yesterday around 5 o'clock he was barking non stop. So I got outside to see what he is barking at and nothing is there. So finally I decided to wait outside and see if he was barking at nothing. Turns out a couple of little boys are at the back of my fence with sticks taunting my dog. Of course when I run to the fence to confront them, they run. And of course by the time i unlock my back gate the kids are gone! This is not the first time I have caught little kids messing with my dogs. A few months ago me and my husband found two little girls with water guns shooting at them over the fence. Well this is the last time I'm going to deal with this. Teach your kids some respect! The next time I find this happening the police will be called. I understand kids will be kids, but you would think parents would not let them run around the neighborhood unsupervised.

Speaking of unsupervised children, what is the deal with the kids on dirt bikes riding in people's yards? We saw two kids riding in our neighbor's grass approx. 2 feet from their front windows. We noticed that we now how have ruts in our yard from someone riding some type of two-wheeled vehicle through our yard. This is trespassing!! We have warned these kids when we can catch them but what else can we do? Are dirt bikes even allowed on our streets legally? These are not children either, more like teenagers.

I have called the sheriffs office about this. It is illegal for dirt bikes and four wheelers to be on our streets and riden around our ponds/yards/etc. The boy that has the yellow four wheeler was seen riding down the street with two other people on it and they all had guns in their hands pointed every which way. They have come out twice already over this and they said they will come every time we call. I must ask..Where are they parents? Bad parenting!

What kind of guns did these boys have? Hand guns? Shotguns? Where did they get them?

I know one of them and they are good kids. They were airsoft guns only and parents nipped this in the bud from what I understand when they saw it. I only saw them once about 2 weeks ago and not recently.

Aren't airsoft guns more or less toy guns? These kids had the sheriff called on them for toy guns? Really?

I don't know if anyone called about the guns. Like my post said I called because the dirt bike is loud and was being riden all day and all evening through out the neigborhood and it is ILLEGAL. The four wheeler was riding one evening when it was dark at about 6 pm with NO LIGHTS on. Hazard. Again I am not sure if anyone called because of the guns. Toy gun? What do you consider a toy gun? Nerf guns that shot the soft foam bullets yes a toy gun. But that is not what those kids had. An airsoft gun shots plastic BB's and some shot pellets. Oh yes. Toy gun? No biggie right. Let me shot you with a bb gun and see if it hurts.

What if: The boys who were on the 4 wheeler and holding the bb guns. They hit a bump or finger slipped and they pulled the trigger. Since the guns were pointing straight out towards the houses the Bb hit a child in the head..eye...face...body. Of course an eye hit causes damage. They take the child to the emergency room and the kid has an eyepatch and some serious problems. The cops are called of course. Would you then get on to the parents for calling the cops because it was JUST AN AIRSOFT GUN.

Like tigerbait1 said those boys are good boys and they're a little to smart to not have the safety on on their little guns. Also I seen the four Wheeler ride by a couple times a couple weeks ago and the lights are aways on. Only once we're the light off probably.

I agree with tigerbait1 & Mrincorpret. Im sure the safety is on when the boys are not shooting the Airsoft Guns. The boys are good boys and have not caused any problems as far as I know. The lights are always on when I see the four wheeler, and ive never seen it out past 6'ish pm and thats when its dark enough to really need the lights on anyway. Speaking of Unsupervised children, I have had rocks thrown at my car while driving down Avoyelles by UNSUPERVISED children, ran over something on AVOYELLES that an Unsupervised child left in the street, and had to replace my tire, and almost everyday I have to drive at a snells pace by homes between the new stop signs because of SMALL children in the street. Guess I need to contact CPS

Im the owner of the yellow four wheeler. My son is 14yrs old and very responsible. There were a few other kids that were Commuting around the neighborhood from each others houses on four wheelers. So when my son asked to ride his, after going over A LOT of rules we allowed him to ride the four wheeler. NO SPEEDING, NO GOING ON PEOPLES GRASS, PULL OVER IF CARS ARE COMING, and If any parent in the neighborhood reports him doing anything that he was not suppose to do he would not be allowed to ride it again. I really didnt feel it was a big issue do to the boys staying out of trouble. So if you have a problem with my parenting please feel free to come down to my house and speak with me about it in an adult manner instead of posting things on the internet. We are all adults here. ACT LIKE ONE!
